Now I want to chat about Kombucha. Which is obviously entirely unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I understand you won't mind.

Let me start off by stating that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with water daily to decrease inflammation or anything like that.

He claims it's magical. I claim it is nasty.

While I know this is going to seem spectacular (because it is)I literally dry heave at the sight and odor of the early ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.

Depending upon this response, one would believe that I would stay far away from Kombucha, correct? I suggest, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.

But for whatever reason, I continue trying it. I Need to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies are super easy to make and full of banana flavor.

I am really a marketer's dream cause each and every time I see somebody I know liking a sip, or touting their favorite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I'm all,"Maybe that one will actually taste decent!" .

Just imagine me with air quotes around the word enjoying because I think it is difficult to believe this stuff is really enjoyable in almost any sense of the term.

Along with spoiler alert. Not one of them taste great. None.

Even the ones which people claim are mild are a large no-go for me. They still taste like freaking bubbly vinegar.

I am basically sure that anyone who drinks this fermented tea stuff includes zero taste buds, or seriously awesome ones.

From no bake cookies and easy sugar cookies to these banana oatmeal cookies, it's been a love affair that's gone on here in MBA for nearly a decade now.

While I am not asserting these banana oatmeal biscuits will be the least healthful (cause hello butter and sugar ), I'm claiming they are delicious.

They have the perfect amount of banana flavor and a lovely chewy feel thanks to its oats. The chocolate chips are only an additional bonus.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies have a soft, buttery feel. If you're searching for a standard oatmeal cookie, this isn't the cookie cutter you're searching for. If you're not a fan of oatmeal cookies my favourite chocolate chip biscuits, you could just become your new fave.

I like these cookies a little about the back side side, therefore that I inhale them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you want these to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 minutes.

These biscuits are a wonderful way to use those super ripe bananas sitting on your counter at the moment. I won't even tell anybody they're not actually breakfast cookies. Enjoy!

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon



1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with More hints the paddle attachment, or in a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then mix in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the skillet and vanilla.



Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.

Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then lightly press the shirts of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Considering these cookies do not spread much, this will help give them a conventional cookie shape.

Enable the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
